The Purpose of Life: A Biblical Perspective
In today’s fast-paced world, many grapple with the question: Do we work to live, or do we live to work? This question, though practical, has profound spiritual implications. In our recent service, we explored what Scripture teaches about the balance between work, faith, and purpose.
The Bible reminds us that while work is necessary for daily life, our ultimate focus should be on storing treasures in heaven rather than being consumed by worldly pursuits (Matthew 6:19-20). Our faith should manifest in good works—not as a means of salvation, but as a reflection of our obedience and love for God (James 2:14-17). As believers, we are called to impact others through kindness, fulfill the Great Commission, and glorify God through our actions.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 summarises the heart of this message: “Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” True fulfilment comes not from material gain but from living in accordance with God’s will.
If you missed the service, we invite you to reflect on this powerful message and consider how faith and works shape your life.
