The Church in Singleton

The Christian Israelite Church was established in England in 1822 and was brought to Australia by travelling preachers in 1839.

Local groups of believers were established at Cockfighter’s Creek and Wylie’s Flat in 1857. A Church was built in Singleton in 1862 and by 1894 the Church was relocated to its present site on the corner of Bishopgate and Goulburn Streets.
